Greetings!
Hearty welcome to the portals of Yadava
College. It is indeed a great pleasure and privilege to
inform you as the Chief Administrator of Yadava College,
that a co-educational institution of repute and renown
in the Temple City, Yadava College is an autonomous body
affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University and Re-accredited
with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC. We offer quality education through
17 Under Graduate and 7 Post Graduate courses in addition
to 3 Research Programmes leading to M.Phil. and Ph.D in
Tamil, Zoology, and Commerce to cater to the needs of
educationally and economically backward students. With
a view to make the outgoing graduates and post graduates
competent and employable, our curricula have been designed
in such a way to incorporate features like value education,
career orientation, communication and other soft skills
over and above the prescribed hard skills. Located on
a sprawling, serene, lush green campus, the college has
well equipped science and computer laboratories separately
for each discipline besides a state of the art computing
centre with latest high configuration systems. The library
is housed in a spacious building and is stacked with 47,764
volumes of books apart from standard journals.
The college extends a number of Career oriented Certificate
and Diploma courses after college hours. Participatory
M.B.A. Programme of Bharathiar University is also conducted
during week ends to facilitate the P.G. Students end employees
of private and Govt. sectors to pursue the course.
Each department in the college is unique
in organizing programmes involving the students in extension
activities, especially caring for the suffering, needy,
downtrodden and in fine, the deserving. We are pioneers
in organizing campaigns such as Rain Water Harvesting,
Helmet awareness, Make Madurai Green and Insurance Awareness.
The State Transport Corporation operates regular buses
and a number of mini buses are also plied to facilitate
day scholars to attend the college with ease. Well furnished
hostels are run separately for Boys and Girls.
As a sound body is a prerequisite for
a sound mind, the college presents a conducive atmosphere
for playing all popular games alongside a grand gymnasium.
Above all our institutions stands on
four pillars. That is Learning to know, Learning to do,
Learning to be good (to fellow human beings) and Learning
to live together.
